I had a blast chatting with NASCAR Cup Series driver Bubba Wallace, who drives the No. 23 Toyota for 23XI Racing. Bubba’s always a great interview because he keeps it real, whether we’re talking racing, music, or life outside the car.
We kicked things off with music—Bubba shared some of the bands he’s been into lately, and I had to ask if he still sneaks in time to play the drums. (Spoiler: racing doesn’t leave much downtime, but the passion’s still there!)
From there, we talked about something we both connect on: fatherhood. Bubba opened up about how being a dad has changed his perspective, and as a new father myself, I could definitely relate. It was cool to hear his honest take on balancing life at the track with life at home.
Of course, we had to get into racing too—Kansas Speedway is coming up this weekend, and Bubba shared his thoughts on what it’ll take to perform well there and keep building momentum as the season heats up.
Music, family, racing—it all came together in one fun conversation. Bubba Wallace is as genuine as they come, and this chat gave fans a glimpse of both the competitor and the person behind the wheel.
