Coming back home to Q102 has been nothing short of unbelievable. This place, these people, and this community—it’s all reminded me why I fell in love with radio and rock music in the first place. And now, to be celebrating not just one, but FOUR Missouri Broadcasters Awards with the Q102 and Midwest Family Broadcasting team… it’s hard to put into words what that means.

Here’s what we were honored with:

🏆 Best Commercial Announcement – Huge congratulations to Kris Waterman for her standout work with Chicken Salad Chick.
🎙️ Best PodcastAt Home With Emily – Emily Woods’ work on this podcast has been moving and powerful.
🎥 Best Video Content by a Radio Station – Our Tiny Room Concert Series interview with Pop Evil.
📻 And the big one… Radio Station of the Year (Medium Market)

To say we’re proud would be an understatement.

This past year at Q102 has been filled with connection—from catching up with our incredible Road Crew, to experiencing some unforgettable concerts, to seeing strong ratings that reflect the passion we pour into this station daily. But the biggest reward has been working alongside a team of people who are not only incredibly talented, but who I’m proud to call my friends.

Thank you to the Missouri Broadcasters Association for this incredible recognition. We don’t take it lightly.

The Tiny Room Concert Series has been a labor of love from day one. While I may be the one asking the questions on camera, the real magic happens behind the scenes. I want to give a huge thank you to Leslie and Mike, who work tirelessly with bands, labels, and management to make each session possible. And to “Magic” Tyler and Blaski—thank you for setting up the room, capturing every detail, and spending countless hours editing to make sure each episode looks and sounds its best. You make this thing shine.

Winning Radio Station of the Year is something we’ll cherish and talk about for years. It’s not just about the trophy—it’s about the team. This one’s for our listeners, for Fish, Caleb, Uli, Casey, Leslie, Mike, “Magic” Tyler, Lex, Terry, Sarah, Dee, and every single person in our building who gives this station its heart and soul.

As I celebrate 15 years in radio, I sit here grateful—grateful for the memories, the mentors, the music, and the many people who have been part of this ride.

Thank you to everyone who continues to believe in what we do. We’re honored, we’re excited, and we’re just getting started.

Here’s to what’s next. – Crews
