L.J. Harris stopped by the Q Studios to hang out with Uli and talk about something that really matters—the upcoming Kadence Harris Scholarship Car Show.
It’s going down May 16th from 9am–2pm at Oak Park in Aurora, and everyone’s invited. You’ll find a little bit of everything: a 50/50 raffle, food trucks, a silent auction, and a full lineup of vehicles competing across multiple classes for trophies and prizes.
If you’ve got a ride you’re proud of, bring it out, registration is $25, on-site only. Every dollar goes toward a scholarship for a young person looking to get into trade school and build a career in the trades. This event is in memory of L.J.’s daughter, Kadence, who tragically lost her life alongside three others when an impaired driver struck a group of motorcyclists riding for the Lynn Thornton Toy Drive. Seven others were injured in that crash.
Kadence was a cadet with the Aurora Fire Department and had her sights set on becoming a motorcycle mechanic, something she was truly passionate about. This car show is more than just a great day out, it’s a way to honor Kadence’s memory and help someone else chase a future she believed in.
